About Valley County Extension

University of Idaho Extension for a century has brought unbiased, locally relevant, research-based programs to help communities stay globally competitive while also addressing local needs. It does so through a dozen research & extension centers plus offices in 42 of Idaho’s 44 counties and on 3 Indian reservations.

Some offices have several University of Idaho faculty members specialized in different subject matters. Most offices, including the Valley County extension office, are small, “single educator” offices. Although each educator has a specialty, most offices support a 4-H and Master Gardening program.
